The World In Motion - Cycle One

TED has been responsible for the production of the best video lectures in recent years. In addition to the lectures, or "TED Talks"as they are called, they are responsible other unique intellectual and artistic creations. Here are 4 great videos from TED.

There are very few people in the world that have the ability to start a social and technologcal movements. It is even rarer to see a person capable of change the way we interact with our surroundings. Even rarer than that is to have a person capable of shattering and reshaping our perception of reality. Jay Silver is one of those anomalies in the world, and he really is changing the world in a seemingly impossible way. Just watch one of his recent TED talks and you will understand why.

Googles new project "Glass" is finally entering its final stages of beta testing. Idealistically, it should be available to consumers in the near future. For those who don't know what glass is, here is a video of one of Googles founders talking about "Glass" at a TED talk

This is quite possibly one if the greatest orations ever delivered. Joshua Prager tells the amazing story of how he found the man who broke his neck, in one of the most technically masterful and outstandingly executed speeches in recent yeas. His message is powerful, captivating, and thought provoking. It is worth watching.

Art can take many forms. It can take the form of music, dance, a painting, a sculpture, and much more. Some of its forms are more obscure than others, but art is art nun the less. Th cross between Japanese cluture and the yo-yo in th bellow video is a unique artistic composition that is worth watching.
